   For Your Mind:

My German theses about the implementation of radio in Germany and the labour-radio-movement in the 1920's: "Die Einführung des Rundfunks in Deutschland und die Reaktion der organisierten Arbeiter-Radio-Bewegung auf das neue Medium (1924-1927)"

My Backports and other Packages for Debian

can be downloaded laboriously by hand or easily using apt. The appropriate lines for the apt sources.list-file are described here.

Among others there are packages of:

Printing with DeskJet Color-Printers of the 690C Series

e.g. with 695C, resulted in printings with too dark colors. With some help from the net I built a modified magicfilter-filter, which solves the problem (maybe it works with other ink-printers with seperate black- and color-cartridges as well).

The modified filter should work out of the box in Debian-slink and -potato, for woody et al. the path to ghostscript has to be adjusted (/usr/share/gs .. , instead of /usr/lib/gs ..)

If you use CUPS as printing-system you don't want this! CUPS uses its own filters and works fine with the mentioned printers.

Broadcast 2000

is a non-destructiv multi-track audio- and video-processing-software by Adam Williams out of the year 2000.
The programm is not developed by the author any more, who is now working on Cinelerra. For historical reasons here the links to
binaries and source of version 2000c and some patches at the site of Jan-Moritz Peter Franosch, and to
the binaries for DEBIAN-Woody as dirty Debian-package.
